Today one of the presents I ordered for the cats showed up…a handmade cat bed from Angel Cat Beds on Etsy. As you can see, it is plenty large enough since Julius fits in without spilling over. He’s not usually big on cat beds but when I put him next to it he decided to sit in it!
On the Gus front, he has been hanging around some downstairs, but still is feeling a bit under the weather. At least the vet smell has worn off and Julie leaves him alone.
I also showed it to Calpurnia and she was very interested in the bed, especially the fringe on the walls. The little ribbon parts are tempting to bite. I put her next to the bed but within a few minutes of sniffing she was sitting inside.
She used it for a long time as a support for grooming and then settled down all the way inside for a nap. She’s been inside it quite a lot today, sometimes entirely tucked inside and other times flopping over the edge. The walls are sturdy enough to take it.
