Late this afternoon I went outside to see how Julie was doing in the back yard. The others were inside near the back door, which was open. It was reasonably warm but a bit breezy, so Julie had is fur sticking out to retain heat. It gives him a more wild look.
He was on top of the back wall in one of his favorite spots. There is a supporting column of brick that supports the rest of the wall every so often, which makes a wide platform for lounging. He’s on that wide spot, all but his left front foot. I think this is why he is holding his other paw awkwardly…there’s not room for it next to the other one so it is cocked sideways and inward.
The sun is heading down behind which makes the color a bit flat. I did open up the flash, which made his slit eyes glow. It is an unusual thing to see.
This one has some better color since the sky isn’t in the background washing thing out. The angle makes the shape of the wall real hard to see, but the angle where his paw is 90 degrees, and the faces are parallel.
And here’s another problem with taking pictures of old Julius….
When he decides to move, he’s off like a flash.
He came striding down the wall at me and on by. That paw is blurry at a 1/40 sec. You can really see how his fur is standing up, making him look stout and sturdy.
He has such a determined expression on his face. He has things to see and do.

Gorgeous pics of Julie! Look at those whiskers.
He could be in an Amazonian rainforest (apart from the wall of course!)
massive paws

He is royalty for sure! purrs
Such a handsome boy. Seems like you’re getting the hang of the new camera?
That mid-step paw in the last picture, what a shot! Love the look on his face, in all of the pictures! Wild cat, manly mancat, he’s just awesome!
