A Three Cat Yard

For the first time in a long time, we actually had all the cats together in the yard at the same time when I had a camera to take a picture.  Julius is the real issue — he’s often either off hunting and out of the area entirely or he moves from place to place so often that you can’t line him up with the others.

It was a nice day for it, since the sea breeze and high altitude just combine to make it comfortable instead of actually cool when the sun sets.  There were a lot of birds around, including a visit from a hummingbird that came down to a few feet above the ground and drank from the lantana flowers.  The boys are down on birds, but Calpurnia was watching with interest but didn’t chase it.

A little earlier Julius was out front demonstrating his deep respect for the HOA rules about the pool. He always leaves the door fully closed and never takes a dog in there.
