What Bugs the Cats?

After a warm day inside you’d think that the evening outside would be nothing but peaceful rest in the open air. Not today.

Gus found the presence of the evil camera strap to be more than he could bear for long and he went for it with a vengeance!  That strap won’t be bothering him for some time.

With Calla, it is nothing so large and obvious. It is a feeling she has, something small that keeps her from her rest. It is nothing she can put her finger on, but it is almost as if it is right under her nose…..

What can it be?

    I KEEL you, camera strap!!!

Is it the straw up her nose? Or is there a bug in front of her face? Those cobalt eyes look like jewels.

It is a pine needle, and it sure looks like it is up there to me.
If you click on the photo you can see the full scale picture and zoom in. I didn’t really notice it until I downloaded the photo afterward.

It is so dry and hot at times that I had a lot of trouble keeping anything growing well, even crabgrass. So I filled most of it in with slate rocks and get a lot more use out of it for us all.
