Hair On Fire

Sure, now she looks all sweet and peaceful, as she makes starfish paws in the cat bed.  But earlier today she was crazy cat incarnate.

Don’t let this peaceful looking grooming session fool you.

Midafternoon she got those crazy eyes and attacked the bottom step of the  stairs.  The ripping sound of all four paws tearing at the carpet was very loud even over the TV.  Then she rolled to her feet, paws spread wide and eyes like saucers, and tore into the bathroom.  A second later she tore out across the room and out the back door. Her ears were fully tucked back to reduce drag and her feet hardly touched the ground.  She looked for all the world like those Hovercat Photoshop pictures.

Then she came rushing right back, turned in the little bathroom and tore right back out again.

And then in she came, and tore out one last time.

This is when you could use a 24-7 Cat Cam.

Since I couldn’t get that shot, I’ll offer this one in its place.  Just where is that fourth paw hiding?

Oh gosh, that title with the first picture is to trick us all into thinking Calla got a spark from the fireplace from sitting too close, right?

  2. Jo Woolf says:

Yes, where is her fourth paw? I’m worried. I also don’t think she’s capable of such speeds as you describe! 🙂

  3. nadbugs says:

I think she’s making a point posing next to the running shoe. Might she be saying something like this: What is this thing for? You see how much speed I can get up, all without anything like this? Why don’t your feet work like mine?

Catmania incarnate! I do wish I had the ability to catch these moments in video but we humans are just too slow. What a mound of fluff she is while still though, huh!

  5. ha ha ha! I love it when they get all crazypants! It reinforces the theory that Cats can see things People can’t.

It’s so hard to imagine all that floof flying around so quickly!

They are so hilarious when in that state. They must see things we simply can’t.
