There he goes, messing up the shot again…
And not just the shot. Yesterday I was up reading and having dinner in the spare bedroom for the first time in a long while. This got Julius interested and soon he was in there climbing around on the various shelves and pieces of furniture.
Finally he perched on an arm and was looking longingly on the jump to the high bookshelf – maybe five feet up and three feet over. I told him not to try it, and he turned away from the jump….
And that big tail caught my drink bottle right in the middle and pitched about 8 ounces of very cold water on me and my book and the furniture. Brrr!
….insert five minutes of cheanup and changing here….
This kind of thing never happens to Manx Cat owners!
He’s not a bad kitty, he just gets in trouble from time to time.
He gets forgiven pretty quickly.
Awww, poor Julius … I’m glad to see that you both came out of it fairly unscathed, if somewhat damp!

He escaped most of the water, being a tail’s length away and above. It did a half circle and glugged it all right in my lap.

He planned it that way? We’ll never know.

Nah, it was an accident.
Now, if Gus wants a drink from a glass, he sticks out one claw, hooks the rim, and pulls it right over.

That pic (2nd one) is a very cute pic. Look at his long whiskers! I couldn’t be cross with him either.

Oh my gosh, Leo has dumped a super size glass of water into my bedside drawer more than once! (I keep it open because I usually have a book stuffed in it that wont let it shut..) I feel for ya, I really do!

My cat would pass behind the sofa and disconnect the telephone apparatus from the jacks with the big white tail. Finally we caught on to why the phone in that room was not working.

Half the time, Julie is a graceful panther.
The rest, a lunk, as you say.

Oh my! With a tail as long and fluffy as his, I’m not surprised there are accidents now and then. I hope the book survived without too much damage. It reminds me of the time Chun knocked my bamboo vase over onto my laptop. I was secretly hoping it would fry because I really wanted an Apple instead. I dumped the water out of the laptop and then put it in a bag of rice because my brother claimed it would draw the moisture out. It must have worked because my laptop is still functioning. So no Apple for me.
