It was a nice warm weekend so obviously its a perfect time to get a major head cold. The door was open, but I noticed that Calla was spending a lot of time upstairs still. This is odd because last year she was real big on hanging out outside in back.
Not one to leave well enough alone, I went upstairs and grabbed her and took her out back and sat down with her. She was pretty unhappy about being carted downstairs and out. But once we were out back and settled, she at once started rubbing against my legs and the rocks like the happiest little cat ever.
It is hard to get a picture of her doing the head rub on the rocks, since she does that with her face pointing the other direction. So you tend to see a round fluffy body with bits of paw poking out in odd directions. “You had to be there” applies.
Even after coming back in, she was willing to hang out downstairs instead of retreating to the bedrooms. So it was a nice midafternoon and evening with all of us hanging out in this and that corner of the room.
Hopefully it won’t be as hard to get her started next time it is warm out.
She’s adorable!

Tortie’s the same way — even if it’s something she likes/wants, she hates being carried to it. Except food.
