Happy Easter

The cats had a nice holiday today – I did my taxes, so not so much.  Julie got into a few scrapes with Calpurnia today when he jumped up near her on the cat tree.  It was pretty amusing to see him squishing himself low enough to avoid any swats from her direction.

He gets into trouble when he crosses her boundary zone when darting from here to there in his panther fashion.  A bit later, he was super cautious trying to get around her sleeping on the landing to get to the window sill right above.   Now he is actually sitting within a foot or two of her.

The strain of relaxing told on poor Calla.  She was sitting up as I took some pictures and then did a great flop onto her side.

Sooo tired!

Gus, too was in boneless mode, but he is still thinking deep thoughts all the same.

Does Calpurnia bop Julius’ nose? That’s what Lotus does when someone jumps into his kitty tree nest.

She might try, but Julie tends to react so quickly when he messes up that she tends to be bopping in the air or at his tail. Unlike the usual cat pushyness, Julie is never trying to swipe a spot when he does it – he just forgot to check if anyone was there.
