Keeping an Eye on Things

It has been a bit since we had a Gus picture leading off, so here’s one.

This morning I was brushing my teeth with my automatic toothbrush while walking about when somehow I lost my grip on it and in trying to recover it the business end went right into my eye.  Still running.

Good thing I have contact lenses since I think that is what saved my eye from a lot of damage,  As it is it is a little sore and my eyelid is puffy.

So if anyone out there was thinking of jamming a power toothbrush in their eye, don’t bother.  It isn’t as fun as it sounds.

If you look at the above picture, from yesterday’s Sparkle Ball session, you can get some idea of why you need to be careful when snatching it back for another toss.

He looks like he means business.

A little after this picture today I startled her by poking at her back from the other side of the cat tree.  She jumped and turned around, and gave me a flurry of swats on the hand, with the tips of the claws out a smidge for a little extra emphasis.

I’d say I was sorry, but I wasn’t.

Gracie loves to hide under her sheet of paper, leaving her little butt exposed. It’s impossible to resist giving it a little poke!

Whoa! That is some scary, the toothbrush in your eye! When you woke up, could you imagine THAT would happen to your day?? Fangie can’t stand it when I brush my teeth with my sonic toothbrush — I have to reach behind me and put a hand on him while still trying to stay over the basin. I have dropped my toothbrush before, because of this ridiculous position I end up in — but good grief, it never ended up in my eye. Hope the irritation resolves asap for you!

We hope your eye is okay. That must have hurt!
