There was a break in the action when she lunged down and bit at it, but instead got an icky mouthful of old leaf litter.

I guess with a coat as glorious as Calpurnia’s, a cat would need a giant-sized licker to keep it all neat and clean. It is slightly disturbing, though. 🙂
