Inspiration Day

Another Award!  This time it is the “Very Inspiring Blogger Award” from Emily at “The Sugarlump” blog.  This is a very interesting blog and is also inspiring it its own right.  I am planning a new career in video sales and passport servicing myself!

You can see in the picture above how inspiring my presence in the room is to my cats.  Gus had come down from his hiding places but was also an edge-cat like Calla.

Yesterday Gus was lying in about this position at the bottom of the stairs when Calla came romping down and faced off with him.  Both of them started windmilling their front paws at each other but they were far enough apart and offset that no contact was made.

Finally they broke it up and separated – no hissing or fear resulted.

Julius took a quick pass at the camp desk again today.

Calla had her first butt bath today, as she had splashed a bunch of cat sand onto her pantaloons and it stuck.  She wasn’t too happy while it was going on, but got over it pretty fast afterward.

Aww. Poor Calpurnia. The indignity! Sprocket got something stuck to his pantaloon the other day too. The price of floofiness.

Gus looks comfy in that top photo. Ping loves that position, rolled on his back with his front and back legs twisted in opposite directions.

  3. Gus tummy! Love it! I love how those two are comfortable so close to each other. I can just imagine the no contact slap fight! MOL
Julie squints at the camera doesnt he? Seems like he has that look on his face a lot. So does Star.
Poor Calla! Any pictures of a wet kitty??

grit in the pantaloons is never a happy situation.

    Gus tum!

Getting your cataloons dunked is just one of the prices Calla has to pay for beauty.

We had 2 cats who didn’t care for each other, but as they aged, they too swiped their paws at each other from a distance. Honor was served, with much less effort.

Too bad you cannot get a video of the butt bath. I had to dip the 18 pound boy’s back feet in some water. They had gotten all muddy from the rain we had. He is Van mix, and did not mind this too much.

It wasn’t too bad – plunked her over the bathroom sink and used a cloth. When I stopped and tried to get her dried with a second cloth she started to wiggle and give her deep groan-meow that she saves for when she’s really annoyed.

  7. oooohhhh…butt baths….errrr…ummmm…does that mean Ms Calla can’t always, errrr…ahhhh…like tidy up her bottom??? My ‘before me brother’ Popcorn,he had long furrs, and once in a blue moon (not sure what that is???) Mom had to wash up his “pants” ‘cuz he missed some icky stuff….
