New Tricks

Calpurnia has learned a new trick in the last few days.  No, it isn’t making biscuits…she has often used this exact throw blanket for this often enough.  But is sure is sweet to see.

I like the concentration.  But even cooler is that twice in the last two days she has left her spots and climbed up into the armchair and sat on my lap to be petted and brushed.  I only remember her doing it one other time – on my birthday last year actually.

Calla has always been sort of skittish, especially when you are standing above her.  If you lie down she will come right up, but almost all the time the closest she would come to me in that chair was to climb into the cat tree above the chair.

You never know when a cat will decide to change.  I hope it keeps up.

If fog comes on little cat feet, what comes on big cat feet?

  3. Awwwwwww I’m so happy for you! Gotta love it when they come to you on their own! I’ll put down anything I’m doing when Leo or Star come to me looking for attention, or just lap to lay on.
Thank you so much for participating in the Winnie’s Wish fundraiser!
