Winding Up

In addition to the dental work, Gus was also tested to see how his thyroid meds were working.  The current levels are good, and Gus hasn’t had trouble with the pills in quite a while.  So we need to keep on keeping on there.

This evening as I was fixing dinner for the cats there was a bit of a dustup between Julie and Gus.   I’m not sure if Gus started it or if Julie was reacting to the vet smell on Gus but there was some hissing and Julie boxed him about a little.  When Gus moved away into the living room Julie let him go.

Not nearly as big as last vet visit when they both went.  And Julie has hissed at him after other vet visits.   Right now they are sprawled about a foot apart so no big harm done.

I plopped Calla on this chair and she enjoyed some rubbing on the table and arms for a bit.  Look at those whiskers there!

Somehow Calla can shift from elegant to cute to a tad goofy without warning.

  2. So glad Gus is doing well! Poor baby, smellin’ like the vet is bad enough without the other kitties battin’ ya for it! Not like he wanted to smell vetty!
Calla is a beauty, but seeing her be a tad goofy is so cool! Love the wild whiskers!

Well I can’t rule out that Gus started it. I don’t think so, he’s pretty mellow with the pain patch, but normally he starts just about all the scuffles around here.

Love Gus’s muzzlepousche in the first shot. I love getting cats to play the “chair game,” where they stick their arms through the slats and slice your fingers…
