It rained overnight and most of the day. Julius had given up on the weather, but mid-afternoon Gus decided to bang on the shades of the back door to get out. It was wet, but not actively raining. Julie took his post up, wet or not.
But even he got a little tired of it. You can see him fluffed out some due to the cold. Now, this is California cold, not real cold, but he was visibly thicker than his usual sleek self.
Soon we were all snug inside again. Just an hour or so ago, he decided to find a new high place just to annoy me.
Yes, there he is on a railing. The same one he fell through the bottom of as a wee kitten. It’s a pretty far drop onto hard tiles – at least as tall as two doors are. He makes sure to yowl a few times as he does it just to make sure I see him do it.
Stinker.
I like this picture here because it makes it look like she is watching him on the railing.
Well, I finally did a bit of learning about Movie editing on the PC and made up a video I took of Calla in the summer. I also finally made a YouTube channel (ThreeCatYard) to add it to.
YouTube apparently has its own Movie editing features, and some others. In fact, one feature did some mischief to the movie, but I left it that way. Perhaps you can spot it and figure out what happened as a quiz.
Julie Julie Julie… you live to give people heart attacks, don’t you?
Calla is far too cute! Love the video! I couldnt detect the mischief…

I guess it could be that you aren’t allowed background music if you slow down the video? Otherwise I’m too captivated by the purry fluffiness! She seems so modest and unaware of the ultimate ‘victory’… “who, me?”

Slow mo does kill the ambient sound. You can add a music track later.

I fail the quiz — but love the slo-mo!

The background music is actually the start of an episode of “Remington Steele” on TV. Slow Mo does turn off the sound, true, but that was originally how the movie was..
Ok, I’ll relent. I did the titles and such before uploading, and when I did upload YouTube said, “Hey this is Shaky, want me to fix it?” and I said yes. But at the end of the fix, the Title (near the end) and the “Victory” caption are bouncing around worse than the camera shake.
I thought that was funny.
So I either need to do titles on YouTube, or find anti-shake code on my local box, or risk wobbly titles. I don’t know if YouTube does slow-mo.

Ah. But you know — I found the shaky “victory” actually funny, adding to the whimsical vibe. Go figure.

Love seeing Calla in full motion – the fluff! The belly! the tongue! Excellent 🙂

yeah, I’ve been peeking at some of the other ones that are just hanging around. Not hugely meme worthy, but I do see the cats live daily and you don’t. I know I like seeing the vids of cats from blogs I follow!
The slow mo is my favorite part, seeing all the little motions one after another in a 10 second sequence is cool.
