Spot Napped

Julius had been making a habit of sleeping on this faux-leopard throw rug recently.  So guess who suddenly decided to sleep on it today and yesterday and push him aside?

Calpurnia!

Would I do something like that?

Well, yes she would.  This is only one of many spots she has swiped from him over the months.  Actually, I don’t think she would mind time-sharing them with him, but he just doesn’t come back to a spot once she starts using it.

I don’t think she would fight to keep it….

….even though the deadly paw would be a huge threat!

Do those blue eyes and innocent looks and overall cuteness work on the boys like they work on us?

Or is it the stubbornness and the Mighty Paws?

They tend to respect her space and she isn’t the type to go overboard in pushing them around. But when she has grabbed Gus’ spots he goes back once she has left. For whatever reason, Julie is reluctant to do that.

Obviously Calla also has no fear on that score herself.

  3. Poor Julius. My one cat does exactly the same thing to my mild mannered, previously abused kitty. He’s such a bully.

  4. She must like a spot after it gets nicely broken in!
