Best Medicine

Gus Relaxing

I came up all sick last night and today, and have been dragging around the place all day.  One thing this means is that the cats know I am sick and take turns sitting on and around me.   At one point I had Gus on one side of the sofa and Calla on the other with my legs in between.

It’s not all sweetness all the time though

Sullen Calla

I was sitting up with my feet up.  Julie was sitting on my lap, and Gus was nearby.  I had to get up, and Calla exploded out from under where I was trying to set my feet down.  She had been sitting right under my legs.

Gus got up and went to see if she was ok, stopping six inches away and sniffing at her.  She didn’t like it and gave him a warning mew.  When he didn’t back off, she unleashed a smack or two at him and hissed.

Poor Gus.  I gave him some pets.  He did all the right things.

  1. Well, I still think there is nothing more healing than having us kittehs watching over our Guardians, and I know they are taking furry good care of you, paw pats, Savvy

Hope you get well soon in no time. At least they managed to make you feel loved with their attention. Too bad it had to end with a spat.
