Being Cats

After a day off, or rather in, yesterday I got home early enough for more backyard pictures. They all like being outside enormously, even when the weather isn’t totally cooperating by being nice or warm.

Julie was content to ride the wall for an hour and feel the air…

Gus took a tour of the backyard from a lower level, and seemed to appreciate the chance to sniff the breezes.  I don’t think that any of those flowers have any perfume to speak of.

Calla seems to be hesitant about going out some, so I dragged her out.  She did enjoy it once she was outside and got used to it but at this point she was still a bit unsure of it all, hence the ears.

love the big round white Gus feets!

  2. Bet Gus is sniffing to see who’s been time sharing the yard and if they left any ‘mail’ for him to check out.
How does Calla have all the confidence in the world out front to just walk over to the neighbors like they’ve invited her to afternoon tea, but is nervous in the fenced in, contained back yard? Silly girl!
Julie knew you were taking pictures so he gave you the squint again I see, MOL

Is that lantana I see? Hummingbirds and butterflies love that stuff.

Yes, I have a few of those. They are too tough to die out, but they catch some kind of leaf disease and never seem to fully take hold either. Its annoying wheh stuff that grows on the side of the road 10 foot tall seems to just die in the yard back there.

  4. Love the term “wall riding”…must steal it!
