End of the Day

I thought I’d tell more about the end of the day yesterday, when  I was sitting on the lawn with Julie.  He was apparently very excited by this…

Gus came out the front door and thought about coming up too. He got all the way to the bushes a few feet away from where we were when…

What was that?

One of the angry birds sat on the wall behind us and started blasting the chirps at us.  Gus at once turned and went back inside. (I even have it on a movie).  Julie was made of stronger stuff and stayed next to me, but we soon went in.

Poor Gus! Has he been traumatised by a bird sometime? Perhaps a water pistol is in order?!

Back when there were trees just outside the back wall, the blue jays there would give him quite a hard time. That’s one reason he likes the front better than the back even now.

I did try and get a squirt bottle set up for the one that likes to stand right outside the patio door, but he’s been too quick for me so far.

Those are the same ones we have! I don’t know what they are, but they better not try stealing sprigs of my freshly-planted basil again.

  3. Ornery birds… they’re making it their mission to keep the kitties inside!
