Hum Dinger

Gus wanted to take a constitutional out front.  It is one of his favorite things to take a few minutes and stroll up and down the front walk.

Julie came out too and was hiding in the shrubbery.  Then all of a sudden he exploded out and jumped high in the air….

A little hummingbird had come too close and almost got knocked out of the air.  After the jump Julie went back into watching mode.  He tracked him for a while by the snap sound the bird makes when it changes direction suddenly.  I’m not sure if it is a voice or more likely just the wings themselves.

The bird was smart and went very high up and far off.

Then he jumped up onto the porch wall for a look around.

Calla took her little tour towards the neighbor’s front porch and came back and hung out near Gus.  She even tolerated Gus getting up and sniffing at her side without hissing or even giving “that meow” that she does that the boys treat as a warning.

Gus taking the air sounds very genteel, as befits his age and dress.

  3. A good sign that Gus wanted to venture out and I think Calla senses his feeling under the weather – thus the “going easy on him”

  4. So close! Darn it, MOL! My Leo does that tail tip flip, it’s adorable!
Good for Calla being a sweetie to Gus!
