Davout knows how to handle the rare “candy striped mouse” breed in all their fury.
Rhea was playing with this toy…then it started to play back! It somehow picked up some static electricity and found her very attractive. She would swat them away, and they would come bouncing back and stick to her body.
Pretty funny!
It is good to see Rhea and Davout hanging out together. They aren’t clinging out of nerves, but do like to keep tabs on each other. And when time comes for kitten crazy chase games, there’s a partner right there.
Both kittens have discovered the huge stratching post, but so far not for scratching. They prefer the horizontal cardboard scratcher. But they have used the post for a game of king, or rather queen of the mountain. She perched up top, and Davout would climb up and hang there high enough for a bit of play swatting action.
He almost always moderates his power to avoid upsetting Rhea or playing too rough. He usually lets her do most of the attacking too. He’s a good older brother.
Oh my gosh they are so sweet! That first picture especially is just adorable!

I can’t help but chuckle when I see your kittens’ photos and read the commentary! I think you did a wonderful job of filling a terrible void in your family when you chose these two little sweeties!
