Garden Party

Remember the big whisker I mentioned yesterday?  You can follow it here all the way down almost to the “ss” in

The kittens got a lot of outside time today as the weather was nice and sunny if not super warm.

As the kittens get more accustomed to the outside they sometimes end up in spots I don’t expect.  A few times I’ve gone out and not been able to spot one or the other of them and wondered if they had gotten out.  So far that hasn’t happened.

Increasingly they are poking deeper into and behind the plants and bushes to see what’s there.

After some time, a big crow started sitting in a tree top and cawing at the cats.  I’m not sure if it was the kittens, or Julie, who came over the wall soon after.  Julie even went inside, as he doesn’t like loud birds since his younger days when jays used to dominate the whole back yard when their tree was right by the back wall.

Rhea was brave in facing the bird and watching him for a while, but did move about in this slinky low position until he went away.

Eventually everyone came in, and for some reason Davout got goggle-eyed at some noise and stayed frozen in that position….

…for quite some time.  I’m not sure what the problem was.
