Crazy Climber

This evening the kittens were running around outside like maniacs as I came out.  I’m not sure if my arrival spoiled any plans or not but Rhea climbed up the stucco post right in front of me.  She ended up higher than my head.

I don’t know if Davout was chasing her about or following her about.

Minutes later she was at it again, climbing on top of this upturned chair on the table.

Was she trying to get up on top of the wall with Julie??  I hope not, I’m not ready for that.

Lucky for me she was soon messing around with Davout through the chair bottom.

They climb like little monkies don”t they. Ali will chase a fly right up the side of the wall and I still can not figure out how she gets the traction to do it.

  2. Oh my heavens! I think I’d faint if I saw her climb a wall! Is that the wall Julie sits on? I didnt realize it was that tall, he must be a heck of a jumper!

The stucco post she is hanging from is part of the house.

The wall next to the upside down chair is the one Julie hangs out on top of, it is a little bit above eye level, probably right around 6 foot high. Julie usually jumps to a brick and a half or so below the top and ‘runs’ the rest of the way up by momentum.and a little digging in by the back claws.

Oh boy, you may have an epic climber like Gracie on your hands! Are there any trees nearby she might take a shine to?

Rhea is still in charge, I see.

(I’ve been away so long — how old are the kittens now?)
