Calm to Crazy

I was a little sloppy this morning when it was time to dispense medicine and didn’t grab Davout right off, and he was impossible to grab.  He even stayed clear of the closed bathroom door.  I had to pull out another trick to get the job done.

The kitties were very laid back most of the day and I pulled out the camera a few times.

Not the best lighting for pictures.  Backlight causes problems for the poor camera brain.

A while later they were hanging out together by the scratching post.

Usually Rhea looks ooey-gooey cute.  I like this shot as she is looking more mysterious and dignified.

Then later in the evening….CRAZY TIME!

I pulled out Da Bird in the morning under the assumption that Davout could not resist the toy.  I pulled it out again this evening.   Davout jumps high too, but it is hard to catch him with a good shot.   The current settings of this camera aren’t the best for crazy action.

Both of them love it…but they are pretty good about not pushing each other around when chasing it when it can be avoided.

Crazy Big Eyes!

Both of them tend to clamp their mouth around the toy and try and carry off the ‘kill’ to a quiet corner.  Sometimes it takes a while for them to chill down enough to let go.

Rhea was even doing growls when she had it.

Davout has the most expressive, beautiful face.
Love the first photo of the two of them together.
They look like they keep you busy and smiling 24/7.
Have a good week coming up way to fast.

The first photo is a framer.
Rhea looks beautiful in the photo by the scratching post, so wide eyed and alert. She has such a beautiful face.
Ali says Rhea has a learned a new kitty dance.

    So darn cute!!!

  5. Gotta love Da Bird!
Wow, with Rhea leaning on Davout, you can really see the size difference. She’s a tiny thing isn’t she?

Compared to all the other cats I’ve had, all of which topped 10 pounds, both of them are small. I don’t remember the exact weights, but Davout is below 8, and Rhea is a pound or so below that. She has a longer body than Davout and a smaller head. Davout is a bit more Persian in body style, but still isn’t as large headed and stocky and big footed as a true Persian is.

  6. Rhea seems like she’d be so much fun to play with! They both are so beautiful!💗💚
