Improvised Toy

I decided to get creative and make a new wand toy.  The Da Bird drives them insane.  The smaller teaser makes them jump all over.  Having an old wand toy that used to have a swatch of denim on it that is long gone,  I figured I could make something new.

Rhea seems interested.

What is it?

A flying drinking straw????

An advantage in summer is that they play, but not so frantically that they overheat or exhaust themselves.

And finally Davout gets his turn.

This straw is mine!

It is nice because they can play while not paying as much attention to the game.

I had to laugh! How much money do we spend on fancy toys for our sweeties, then something as simple as a wadded up piece of paper or a straw tied onto a worn out wand toy entrances them for a lot less expense!?

One of my cats turned a political; mailer from my Congressman into a fort, a chew toy, and an excuse to torment his brother in an endless game of “MINE!” Little by little, I finally managed to get it tossed out, but not before Andy retrieved it from the trash two times. (I was tempted to write my COngressman for another copy, Andy “loved” that miserable piece of propaganda so much!)

I can’t leave pens or pencils out or both cats carry them off to that place socks disappear to.

They make my heart smile and I am sure they do yours too. We have spent a ton of money on cat condos and balls that run on round tracks and flash colors, and Alis fav toy is a brown paper bag.
