Sensitive Fellow

Today was jarring to Davout because instead of doing stuff that I usually do, I did something entirely different.  I hung out in a different room upstairs rather than going downstairs most of the day.

He came up a few times and peeked in the door but soon gave it up and went downstairs.

Rhea was fine, napping nearby in this room or poking around while I worked.

When I pulled out the toy for playtime, he was really reluctant to play.  He hung back far away, then inched closer….

Finally he came close enough to play with the toy, and with Rhea.

Hopefully me using all the rooms in my house won’t scar him for life.

It’s amazing how sometimes small changes can confuse our lil friends. He will be fine and play as normal again i am sure. 🙂

Look at all that fur in the first photograph. I had not noticed before. Keeping the knots out must be a chore.

He actually wasn’t too bad until recently – he’s only grown the huge fluff the last few months. There were a few knots that I cut out last week, but none before that. Possibly the mane is hampering his own attempts to groom himself.
