Another hot night, but the kittens wanted to play anyway. Davout was giving me the big eyes for a while.
He got first shot for the minute or so it took until Rhea came over from across the room.
But he had his shots in between Rhea’s cavorting.
Rhea did some jumping and spinning. I kept an eye to see if she was getting warm and give her some rest. She had to rest after this shot.
And Davout got his turn.
I can go back in, coach!
I did something new and brought out a little water bowl with some ice in it. Rhea played with the cubes, spinning them in circles with her paw, then licking her paw dry. Davout did some sniffing and maybe some drinking, but he’s a lot shyer about me watching him.
Devout seems just as playful as Oli 🙂 despite the weather lol

All your kitties are so adorable, I wish I could hug them.

Hope you and the kittens didn’t lose your power as they did in Sun Valley. A friend who lives out there said they sweltered all night without AC, though at one point they pulled out the melting ice cubes from the freezer, poured them into buckets and mixed them with water, then stuck their feet into them. Kind of like wading pools for the apartment-dweller set. Stay cool!

we did not lose power, but I don’t run AC, just some fans. Usually there is enough cool down from off the coast to cool down at night, the last two days have been an exception.
Your friends were doing what Rhea was with the cubes, but she made a game out of making them spin in the bowl for a while.

LOL at the thought of my friend, who is a 70-year-old retired librarian, playing with the ice cubes with her toes! She could take some lessons from Rhea, however, as she’s decidedly unplayful and needs to get out more.

Davout is absolutely beautiful and so is Miss Rhea. I added ice cubes to Alis kitty drinking fountain and she playing with the ice with her paw.
