When I was trying to chivvy the kittens back inside as the sun went down the other day, suddenly a loudmouthed bird decided to both land AND start chirping loudly like a maniac. Rhea instantly when in approach mode with Davout following up behind.
Davout broke off the chase but Rhea kept coming, but then the bird took off and flew up into the tree.
Rhea was undaunted and got close to the tree…and then the bird went and landed on the far side of the pool and started chirping again.
This did not stop her. Lucky for her it isn’t against the rules.
I had to go in and find the pool key to get her back out.
She did have one more trick…she decided to run and full speed from the front door all the way down the path, across the driveway and then under my neighbor’s parked cars. Davout followed her and then I had to nudge them both out from the car and then back inside.
Sounds like they are giving you a good work out.

They were very good most of the time, letting me scoot them away from the neighbor’s side of the driveway and from the street end too. Just one burst of naughtyness to keep me on my toes. When I chased them out from under the cars they went right inside to get dinner.

It always amuses me too. I’ve gotten similar ones with some of my other cats over the years.

Children should mind their parents. But a little fun is FUN!
