Odd Girl

Davout sits off to the side watching.

Rhea started doing something odd…gnawing on the tops of those white pillars on the tree. She’s pretty intense about it.  I’m not sure if I am more worried about her marring the tree or busting a tooth.

Time to distract her with a toy.

She grabbed it and carried it down to the ground.

Poor Davout hangs out on the fringe.

It takes a lot to entice him to play sometimes.

He’s too afraid of scary Rhea I suppose.

Hope she is not having a dental problem and that is what is causing all of that gnawing.
Do cats teeth at certain ages when they loose baby teeth and get adult teeth.
That is what crossed my mind.

Some cats like to chew. It probably won’t hurt her teeth, they seem to know better.

In photo #2, the top of the pillar (the gnawed part, I presume?) is exactly the same color, size, and shape as the white on her face. Nice parallel.

In photo #1, Davout looks like a pyramid, which is appropriate with his Napoleonic connection. I think of him as Davout the Perplexed since he’s baffled about Rhea.

I had a cat who decided that the metal blind slats were in her way to sitting on the window sill and bit an Angelina-sized hole. By the end the metal was crumpled away like paper and had a few punctures in it. I was in an apartment and didn’t even get anything deducted from the security deposit for it.

Yes she’s nibbled on that post, and the ones on the step above one of which is flat on top and not pointed.

I have two blinds that way — one horizontal metal with the cat sized hole out of it, and one vertical vinyl with just some chewing. Both perpetrators were fine.
