Out and About Times Two

It was another wonderful day weather wise, and the kittens got to go outside in the back. The favorite rest spot only lets through a dappling of sun even at noon.

I was doing a bit more yard work and carrying cut plants inside, so Davout made himself scarce while there was traffic going on.

To him discretion is the better part of valor when big feet are tramping around.

After dinner for the cats and some time for digestion I went up to Anna’s room. Much of the time she is camped out here by the window.  I like this since it shows more confidence and ownership than most spots she could pick.

She often yawns right after I come in, which I hope is not a commentary on me.

I intentionally left the door ajar so she could take another tour outside her room, and she did so right after this.

Rhea wasn’t thrilled with this idea.

This time she joined Davout on the cat tree to be out of the way.  But today Anna did not go downstairs, but instead prowled around all the upstairs rooms repeatedly.  Every so often she would go back to the doorway of her room, but then turn back to explore some more.

I had plunked Anna on my bed the first or second time she explored the bedroom and she jumped right down.  The next time she came to explore, she jumped up on her own and flopped down in the middle as if she owned it.

She then started to paddle her feet…

I went around to the head end and sat down facing her and she didn’t get up for this shot.

After a few more minutes she was content to go back to finish her dinner and rest in her own room.   The door’s still closed for now, but integration is starting bit by bit.

Anna has the sweetest face! It sounds like she has a lovely nature. I am so glad she has found a good home after lots of turmoil in her life.

She’s really had a perfect attitude – not too docile but not aggressive. And despite her issues with contact, she seems to make an effort to show ‘long distance’ affection moves with the flopping down, yawning, and kneading in the air. And if she ever gets up to kneading on me like Calla did, at least it won’t hurt!

I think you will have them all being best buddies in no time. You are wise to be doing it slowly like you are supposed to-so many people put them together at once and have problems. Please visit us for a giveaway.

The first photo is one of the best I have seen of Rhea and she is so beautiful.
Anna looks lick she is making herself right at home and hope they all are able to live together and get along.
Is Anna the same kind of kitty as the kittens?
