Roomba for Improvement

Under the assumption I had been babying Anna too much recently, I brought in the Roomba robot sweeper to clean up the carpet in her room.   She wasn’t too spooked by it, or even by the invasion of the room by the two curious kittens who tend to follow it around.

She didn’t really pay much attention to them, and was ok with the Roomba as long as she was up on something above it.

Davout keeps an eye on the Roomba from a good distance, like the doorway of the room.  Rhea is less fearful and only moves aside from it when it gets very close to touching her.

Rhea wasn’t totally avoiding trouble.  She did jump up into Anna’s safe closet spot when Anna wasn’t there and later was thinking very much about jumping up onto the shelf Anna was sitting on when Anna was there!

I picked her up before she could do so and she gave me a very annoyed squawk.  Davout came rushing in to see what was the matter with his sister.

In the afternoon I let the kittens out back a little, and tried to get Anna outside upstairs but she really wasn’t into it.  She fairly quickly went back to her room.

So far she’s happy in her own little room.

Love the faces the kittens are making while they are sitting there watching the roomba.
I wonder if Anna is always going to be more snug in there own room.
I moved all of Alis cat furniture and toys into the bedroom and now she almost never comes out into the rest of the apt except to eat and sit with the bald dude.
She is calmer and not as jumpy in the bedroom.

I love that 1st photo, Anna has a questioning look on her face.

Davout has a slightly Panda-esque look in his two photos today! (Of course, he looks very, very cute in both!)

  5. Those two photos of Davout peering down between the banisters, paws in front of him, are so adorable 🙂
