Yesterday morning Rhea had a trip to the vet to get some booster vaccine shots and so she was feeling a bit punky part of the day. Today I opened up the door into the garage and she and Davout spent much time in and about there. She is sitting on the front of the base of a recliner, which is sitting on the seat of a sofa. It is a high place and comfy!
So the entire evening I had the door to Anna’s room ajar a little bit to help with the air circulation upstairs. It was pretty warm today, and the upstairs gets warm unless you have airflow through it. Anna’s closed door interferes with that somewhat, although her room stays cooler.
I figured the other cats would leave us alone but then she started making eyes at the door.
I was sure she was wrong, as she has been more often than not, but Davout and Rhea were outside the door.. I managed to get hold of Davout and bring him in.
I had been wondering if Anna and Davout would interact better, since he hasn’t been so pushy and bold like Rhea. I plunked him down on the sofa right in front of Anna, about 3 or 4 feet directly across. I grabbed some treats to distract everyone.
Davout ate his, although he kept his eyes on Anna. He’s not growling here, either about to lick his lips or breathing heavy…
Anna ate hers, not seeming to notice Davout….
Rhea got some treats out of sight of Anna…
LIp smacking good! Davout has his paw up because he uses it to trap snacks if they start to fall out of his mouth while eating them.
Then Davout was startled by Anna hissing and growling!
It wasn’t at him, though. Rhea was peeking around the corner at Anna.
I soon broke up the party as Anna was getting a bit agitated. Overall, it went well.
