Foster Failure

It’s been about a month since Harrison came here as a foster, and its time to make it official.  He’s staying here permanently.

When I agreed to foster him I figured that he would eventually end up staying on, so it wasn’t a surprise to me. He would have had to be very unhappy to have that happen.  Still, I had not officially committed to join the ranks of “Foster Failures”.

Harrison has had a tough time recently but kept his amiable personality with everyone here, even Anna.  When he strolled into her room he just ignored her hissing and peered around and ate some of her food.  He’s not all healed physically from that yet, but at least we don’t have to worry about dropping him into a new situation anymore.  He’s home now.

Oh bless him, and bless you, too. It’s not entirely a surprise, but great news all the same. He’s looking so much better already, which is a credit to you. Welcome home, Harrison! 🙂

I’ve been following Harrison’s progress, happy to know that he finally was in a loving (foster) home. His new status isn’t entirely a surprise, but is still lovely news. I hope Davout isn’t still wondering why another Himmie was needed. (I adore that picture of him.) Congratulations!

  8. There are no failures, there are only lessons learned, as I like to say to students. 😉 In this case, the lesson was love. I hope Harrison continues to make progress in his forever home!

Great news! And he knows how to take the alpha girl (Rhea) in stride. Maybe Anna can learn some tips from him.
