Cats Out Front

It looked like a good evening for an outing, but with the A/C running it seemed out front would be better than out back.

Harrison was first suited up.  He is a bit more hesitant about rushing off with the lead, but not totally unwilling.  He retired inside a time or so, but then came out for more.  Davout followed the dangling lead.

He started out along the fence line by the pool and I caught up.  He stopped at one point and thought about going inside but I put a little pressure on the lead.  Maybe another time, buddy.

He kept along the fence line and thought about going thru here near the gate.  A little pull kept him from going through.

Finally he moved on down the sidewalk getting farther away.  Here is the end of the line, where it meets the street by a little parking area.  That was about enough for him for the day.

While Harrison was about, the kittens tended to hang back and watch what we were doing.

When he went inside, Rhea started to get a little more wild and active….she really likes this little lawn patch between my front door path and the pool entrance.

(to be continued…)

I love Harrison’s perky ears and evident interest in things.

He’s just what everyone needed — leads Davout into bravery, keeps Anna from freaking out about another kitty, and doesn’t care about Rhea’s personality.

Why does Harrison need a lead? Just making sure he’s not a bolter?

LOVE that shot of Davout scratching.
