Today it was very hot, and there was even a wildfire in the area, not threatening my area but only a few miles off. They were right on it on the drive home yesterday and it is all contained now.
But with Davout up there I had the idea to bring him in to visit Anna again.
Anna was by the window, and I put Davout on the back of the sofa opposite. She gave him a few hisses to start off with.
Davout wasn’t too scared, but was elaborately casual as he peered around and sniffed things, not looking at Anna much.
He sat down on the arm of the sofa a little closer and gave her some looks.
Anna sent her own “uncasual casual” moves over to Davout.
He jumped down after coming down to the front of the sofa without any trouble. He poked around a little more then decided to go out.
Rhea was out there, although these days she often hides in the bathroom when the door is open to stay out of line of sight. I put down some treats for them. The dog gate isn’t a total barrier, but it does the job well enough these days to let the door be ajar when I’m home so Anna can hear what is up, but Rhea won’t break in and bother her.
With the kittens out there Anna keeps an eye out, but isn’t too upset either.
