Another Day

Harrison is still doing well.  This weekend he picked up the habit of taking advantage of football games to climb up and sleep on my shoulder and purr.  Unlike most cats, he isn’t much disturbed by a bit of nasty talk at the television.

He also comes up to sit on my lap when blogging…like now.

Today I went up to visit Anna and get some pictures.  She wanted petting more than photos – she rubbed her cheeks on things to give me the idea.

I’ve been doing a little bit of mixing or leaving the gate open.  Today Davout came in pretty early and camped in the doorway, lying down.  Anna almost peeked around the corner at him but turned away.

Rhea then came up and had to clamber over him to get farther.  Anna sensed her creeping around the side of the sofa and jumped up to avoid any drama.

This morning I carried Rhea in for a quick visit and plunked her on the sofa. When she sat still Anna let her alone, but when she jumped down and got closer there was a little hiss.  Just trying some desensitization to get one of the two girls to lighten up a little.

Sounds like you are making some progress with Rhea and Anna, though…! (Love that last photo!)

  2. Hang in there, human – they just need a little more time!😺

We are living in hope that eventually Anna will be integrated with the rest of the family, such a beautiful girl.
