Many Meals

I haven’t been as methodical about keeping track of Harrison’s eating habits.  He seems to be eating more overall, somewhat more steadily.  He had a few spitting up episodes, mostly on empty stomach yesterday.  But today he was eating well.

It seemed like every few minutes he would be sitting there staring at me for a refill, or to have the food in the bowl piled up for him.  I skipped that some and he did go and get the food at the bottom fairly well when he had to.

Davout has gotten more used to sports being on the TV or the computer.  Sometimes he even seems to be interested in watching it.  He does skitter away if I shout at something though.

At the kitten’s dinner time,  Harrison decided to try some of their food.  Rhea let him do so, knowing that he would leave her and Davout some, or they would get a refill.

A little later I went up to visit Anna, who was awake from her afternoon naps.  She tends to go into one of the darker corners from late morning to late afternoon and sleep.

I played with her a little without making her move from where she was lying down by the water fountain.

That red cord is a tricky little thing.

And when I went down to the kitchen again, Harrison was hoping it was time for another dinner.  It was, can’t say no.

How could you possibly say no to that little face?

Well, I have a heart of flinty stone so I could probably manage it if he wasn’t so underweight. But he needs all the food he can stuff into his tummy. If he gets fat I might have to start being mean.

I could be wrong, but I as I have been reading the blog for a while now, I think it’s not unlikely that you’d switch to a lower calorie food for Harrison and wean him down off of so many meals as opposed to cutting them out completely. Either way, it’s obvious that he is in a great place and gets wonderful care. He is such a mellow looking little dude.

That Harrison face! I’d give him anything he asks for.

It’s possible he might have to eat small meals more often for a long, long time. Who knows what happened to his system. Poor boy.

The combo of his lighter muzzle fur flowing into his whiskers is always strikingly cute.

  5. Wasn’t Rhea a sweetie letting Harrison have first dibs on her food. She must know he needs it too.
