Look Ma! No Legs!
I was gently wriggling the toy on the ground to draw Rhea and she was interested…but stopped on the stairs to watch for a while.
But first, the title news. Today was a more or less unremarkable day until the evening when I went in to visit with Anna. I had left the gate open, as the kittens were downstairs, and Anna went past me to go up to the doorway as she has been doing more and more often. But this time she went right on through and down the hallway and took a little tour of the upstairs. She visited the office bedroom, peeked off the edge of the upstairs a little, then went back into her room. So I don’t know if the last time was voluntary, but this time was for sure.
This is certainly good news – I don’t mind if Anna decides to hang out on her own, but I’d rather she feel free to move about and not scared by what is outside.
Just after this there was another funny moment. Anna was back in her room, and I shut the gate as Rhea and Davout finally came upstairs. Rhea started to move closer to the door but Davout reached forward and bit her behind the shoulders to hold her back and made a little noise. He has done this a few times outside Anna’s door but not that I’ve noticed anywhere else.
Today, Rhea did most of the pouncing, but Davout got the photos!
He was in a very stalkery mood rather than wanting to charge in and attack right away.
That upward whisker is just out of control.
After I was done Davout went into the laundry basket and started digging at the back like a prisoner trying to tunnel out of his cell. He kept it up quite a while.
What? You think this is odd??
