Pleasant Afternoon

I opened the front door to get some air and Rhea came out to join me.  For some reason Davout was too cautious to go out the front door the entire time, he stood in the doorway but did not come out.

Rhea soon jumped up on the porch wall.

It is a great place to see the front yard from.

A little bird was chirping around on the edge of the roof and caught her eye.

….for quite a long time.

She did take off to explore the front driveway and I had to go head her off.  Another time she went to sit in the grassy area, which is fine, but a pair of big crows started making annoying noises at her which ruined the time for her.

They were pretty large birds, even if she had the chance to catch one.

I wish my mom would trust me the way you trust Rhea being outside without a harness!

Sometimes the bird show is captivating; sometimes it’s downright scary.
