In the morning there was a little adventure in the back yard. A squirrel was atop the wall chittering at the cats. Davout was on the other side of the post looking on with interest.
A bit later in the afternoon Rhea was sitting looking at birds in the trees with similar interest.
I came out farther too see what she was doing. Here she was looking one way but really listening at highway sounds in the other direction.
Then she looked up…at nothing in particular that I could see.
She then turned and gazed in this direction, also at nothing.
She’s a nut.
Anna came down for another visit and Rhea moved out of sight for the whole time aside from a moment or two.
