Vets for Rhea

Rhea had her annual checkup today in the morning.  She passed with flying colors and was only a little grumpy on the way down because of an accident on the highway.

She didn’t have the same clear sailing with her brother.  I caught him doing some of his quiet hisses when she got too close to him.  He might not like the vet smell on her, as he does not like the trip at all.

I’m sure it will blow over quickly enough.

Davout enjoys playing with the shoestring.

Taking them separately sounds like a luxurious use of time! I try to take my kitty boys together, but separately, the dwell time in the carrier is reduced, something they both appreciate. It also means they tolerate the whole business a bit better.

Usually, if I take them separately, it’s because one hid successfully when it was time to take them to the veterinarian!

They went for their first few checkups together, but then when they started going for actual ailments they got out of step. The vet now text messages reminders on cat birthdays which are a few months apart for all of them. Anna would be a handful with one of the others along, I’d expect. The vet is about 10 minutes off and if I go early in the morning midweek there’s no waiting.
