The cats had some outside time today but I was cutting away some of the excess plants and this made them be very hesitant about going out there. Rhea did watch from across the yard some, but Davout stayed away. Harrison was feeling poorly and slept most of the day without eating much.
Davout did stick his head into something that put a huge amount of spider webs and sticks on his head, and of course he wouldn’t let me brush it off. Eventually he got it off himself.
There were some more fireworks today, a bit closer but nobody was particularly scared.
She gave me a yawn, though.
Anna, too was not fazed by the noise outside, being more interested in imaginary inside noises.
She did do her clawless scratching post move on the stack of books for me. I have to act distressed in order not to show up her lack of front claws.
Anna ignores the fireworks, is suspicious of the hallway, devoid of cats.
Such cute kitties!

Poor Anna. I used to have a declawed cat and we pretended to be impressed with his paw work as well.
Davout’s gone liquid in that first one.

I don’t *think* she realizes she’s more defenseless – she slap fights with the declawed paws rather than try and bite or kick with the clawed back feet in tussles with me or the kittens.

The 2 declawed cats I’ve known well were still alphas against all better-armed kitties. But they knew they didn’t have front claws, which Anna maybe doesn’t. There was still vigorous paw-sharpening.

You mentioned Harrison is older and I am wondering ho wold he is. For some reason I thought he was a young cat, still a kitten.
Devout looks exhausted. beautiful profile of Miss Rhea. Love the yawn and cute shot.
Anna is a pretty girl.
you and the kitties have a good week that go there way t o quick.

I don’t have any dates on Harrison. When he was first here he seemed older, but with him getting stronger he’s been more athletic. Ten is my working guess now.
