Calpurnia seems to be of the opinion that no further ornament is needed on her head, as it would detract from her ears. She also isn’t a big fan of having her head held on to – makes her wiggly. She’s hard to pill.
When Julie got home tonight I looked outside for Calla but did not spot her. I shut the door and checked upstairs and still didn’t find her.
She was still outside, but at least hadn’t noticed the door was shut. I’ll have to find out where she was tucked away that I couldn’t see her in the dark.
Gus catches some of the breeze from the open door.
I know I shouldn’t but I do fret when I know Calla or Gus or Julie are outside…probably not as dangerous where they live, compared to my outside where there are lots of cars, dogs and especially very aggressive coyotes…well and then there are the racoons, and skunks…scary…

Calla and Gus are either in back behind a 5 1/2 foot wall or with me watching them out front. Julie is the wanderer, and I’m pretty sure he spends most of his time on the near side of similar walls – in the pool and the RV park. The walls don’t front on a large wild area where too many predators can live for long – it is not far from an interstate.
But the main issue with him was years back when I did try and keep him in he started racing out the garage as I drove the car in.
At that point it seemed risking less to give him his days out.
