I’ll Drink to That

Right around photo time Davout jumped to the top of the old cat tree that used to sit in the living room but is now beside the bed.  They don’t use it quite enough, although they play on it sometimes.  It is in a dark part of the room so I pulled out a flashlight to brighten things up and he started following the light around like it was prey…

Rhea was up atop a bookshelf across the room.  Yesterday at bedtime Davout climbed up next to her and squeezed onto this space beside her, back to back with no room left over.

Rhea was following the flash too.

With Anna showing little impulse to leave her room, I gave in and bought a fountain for her to get some better water than the dishes I was using by the food bowl.  This is a Drinkwell Pagoda ceramic fountain.  She had started using the other fountains when she was exploring the upstairs but hasn’t since she retired to her own room a few weeks back.

I left the door open while assembling it, and there was a little rumbling when Rhea came in to sniff at the parts as I set it up.

Later on when I was playing with Anna she got so excited she jumped up on the Red Sofa, ran to the far end, spun around and leapt over the back to the safety zone.  Crazy girl.

Rhea the Napoleon cat in front of an antique print of Napoleon on horseback.

Handsome Davout….still watching the flashlight.

Love the pics!! Are you testing us? Looks like Rhea in front of the Napoleon print but it’s still early in the morning and I’m a bit fuzzy! 😉

Such beautiful kitties and they make my heart smile just looking at these photos.
When Ali first got sick she stopped drinking water and our vet told us to get a feline water fountain and we did, and she started drinking right away. I think that along with the medication has really been a big help in her staying in remission.
